In terrariums, seed pods have a dual purpose of being sustainable natural decor in terrariums and habitats and isopods and springtails also enjoy using them as hides.  They are great botanicals for naturalistic terrariums, and they do hold up well in humid vivariums.   

This botanical seed pod pack is ideal to use as blackwater botanicals for aquariums, biotope, betta fish, and shrimp.  The pods will produce tannins, biofilm, and act as hides.

In home decor, seed pods are intriguing bowl filler adding texture and shape, and they can also be used in DIY craft projects and potpourri.

The photos illustrate the general size and shape of the pods you will receive.  This pack contains 1 Bolsa Pastor Urchin pod, 10 birch cones, 10 casuarina pods, 5 bakuli pods, 3 sweetgum pods, 1 Triangle pod, 3 lotus pods, and 5 cotton flower pods.

If using in an aquarium, it is recommended to boil the seed pods for 15-20 to release some tannins and then soak the pods in water for several hours to overnight to help the pods become waterlogged and sink.  Start by adding one or two pods to see how your aquarium reacts.  Adding too many pods can make the water dark.  You can always add more seed pods as needed.
