Dysoxylum pods, often referred to as "Lafia Pods" in the botanical and craft trade, are the unique dried fruit capsules of trees belonging to the genus Dysoxylum (family Meliaceae). This genus encompasses numerous species, primarily found across tropical and subtropical Asia.  Dysoxylum pods are typically thick, woody seed pods that are deeply dimpled or ribbed on the outside and surprisingly smooth on the inside. When dried, they curl in upon themselves, creating an intriguing, curved form.  The bag contains 15 Dysoxylum Lafia pods.

Preparation for Aquarium/Paludarium Use:

1. Boil: Boil the pods for at least 15 minutes to help them sink and leach initial tannins.

2. Soak: Soak in clean water overnight or longer if needed, changing the water daily, until they are fully waterlogged and the desired amount of tannin has been leached.

3. Ready to Use: Once they sink and you've achieved your desired water coloration, they are ready to be added to your setup.
